November 19, 2006 • Four of the Seven beds have been completely reworked with more depth and compost where needed. Peppers remaining in Beds 1 & 2 are still fruitful Sorranos and my hopes for Bells after none all hot summer — buds only there. Tilapia pond half dug and used to bank all the beds up to the brim for temperature insulation, with perhaps more to come.

March 24, 2007 • Proof that winter rye is the most harty of seeds. Bed 5 catches up with the deeper beds after the first winter plantings are harvested. The south end of bed 7 is completely under window screen in an attempt to foil the squash borer wasps laying their ravenous larvae-to- be. Planted crop of cherry 100 tomatoes in the other large tub.

June 22, 2007 • The first tomatoes are turning and delicious. Let screened squash out and they got eaten up by the borers. Three treated plants contyinued bearing. Once again tomatoes are overbaring in the garden with the rest of the stuff. Arugula grows in the summer.
