Covers
No two fields
of endeavor are more complimentary than the musical and graphic arts. Record,
cassette and CD covers have been a major outlet for creative graphics, and
a big boost for the music too —it's been heard many times, "Damn,
that album looks like it sounds great!" |

Music
Posters
The music
posters can serve as a bulletin for an evening's entertainment, to plan
one's weekly date card, memorabilia of a glorious hoot, patches for holes
in slacker bedroom walls, band's appeal to an apathetic music public, mailed
reminders to remote friends of what they're missing if they don't come visit
… or as a horrible blight littering the establishment's idea of domain.
Here's 12. |

Esquires
Series
This commission
was to advertise the gig of The Esquires, originally the alter-ego of my
favorite local band, The Nortons when they tried to shake up the topless
bar business by playing live music for the dancers at the Crazy Lady, then
managed by an old friend and roomie, Mike Mullins. It lasted for 77 issues
— no end of inspiration with two subjects like sex and music —
here are 29 of them. |
